Simulation of Cycling Damage under High-Frequency Loading with Grid-Characteristic Method on Overlapping Meshes
摘要
An approach to address the cycling damage under the high-frequency loading problem using the grid-characteristic method with an overlapping meshes technique and first obtained results are presented. Fatigue fracturing is an important problem in different applied areas, for example, aircraft manufacturing. Even tiny amplitude loading of turbine blades leads to their damage and destruction after multiple cycles. Simulation of this process should allow to develop new materials and constructions with significantly higher durability. However, the consideration of the full-wave physical problem in spatial domains with complex geometries can be quite expensive in computational time. Therefore, a detailed mathematical model and robust numerical method are presented in this work. The solver is validated on the commercial software Ansys, applied for the simulation of two-dimensional static problem. The special scale procedure for the three-dimensional problems is discussed.
