Abstract <p>This article examines the increased weight of hybrid vehicles caused by the installation of powerful batteries. Various hybrid vehicle configurations and implementation examples are discussed. Solutions for reducing the metal content of hybrid vehicles through the use of polymer composite materials are proposed. It is demonstrated that combining composites with traditional materials in hybrid vehicle design increases the strength and durability of vehicle components while reducing their weight. The need to integrate polymer composite materials into hybrid vehicle design to meet modern environmental and resource conservation requirements is emphasized.</p>
