The Effect of the Type of the Binder on the Compressibility of Dispersion-Filled Composites for the Powder Injection Molding Technology
摘要
Abstract
The compressibility of powder–polymer mixtures with the identical powder filler but different types of the binder is estimated by uniaxial pressing. It is shown that the process of premolding of molds from mixtures with a wax–polyolefin binder can be executed at lower values of pressure and temperature when compared to analogues based on polyoxymethylene. The obtained result makes it possible to recommend using a wax–polyolefin binder in production of larger-scale products by powder injection molding.
