Study of the Structure and Properties of Aluminum Alloy Prototypes for the Production of Electrical Conductors

Abstract
This paper examines the effect of iron on mechanical and physical properties of an aluminum alloy. Methods for measuring the electrical resistance of a conductive core, the bending resistance of an insulated core, and methods for assessing the corrosion resistance of the alloy are presented. A post-drawing heat treatment technology has been investigated. Patterns of influence of operating conditions on the structure, physical, and mechanical properties of the alloy have been established. Increasing the electrical conductivity of aluminum alloys will ensure high efficiency in the cable industry.
