Regulation of the Properties of Composites Based on the Products of Thioetherification Reaction of Epoxy Resins with Thiokol by Mixing Epoxy Resins of Different Molecular Weights

The possibility of regulating the complex of cohesive and adhesive properties of epoxy–thiokol compositions by combining the products of preliminary thioetherification reaction based on resins of different molecular weights and the joint use of plasticizers and diluents in their composition has been investigated. A significant increase in parameters of tensile strength, strain at break, rupture work, and adhesive strength has been established when mixing the product of thioetherification reaction based on ED-20 resin with a ED‑8 resin with a higher molecular weight. It has been shown that replacing a small part of DOS plasticizer with a monoepoxy diluent vinylox makes it possible to additionally increase the adhesive strength value under shear and compressive strength. The introduction of a fairly large amount of powder-like quartz into the composition has virtually no effect on the adhesive strength value.
