Thermal Oxidation of Polyethylene and Ethylene–Vinyl Acetate Copolymers in the Presence of Certain Petroleum Polymer Resins
摘要
Abstract
A study has been carried out that is devoted to the analysis of thermal oxidation of high-pressure polyethylene and ethylene–vinyl acetate copolymer in the presence of petroleum polymer resins. The intensities of bands of various oxygen-containing groups formed as a result of thermal oxidation were estimated using attenuated total reflectance infrared spectroscopy. It was found that the resins exhibit higher thermal stabilizing abilities than industrial antioxidants at long heat treatment times.
