Preparation of an Epoxy Glue by Ultrasonic Treatment

Abstract
The results of studies on the effect of ultrasonic treatment on the properties of an epoxy glue are presented. The dependences of change in the glue viscosity on the treatment regime are established. Optimal treatment conditions are selected with consideration for ultrasonic effects and treatment induced heating. The glue samples prepared in the selected regimes have a smaller contact angle on smooth and rough surfaces. The changes in the structure and properties of the glue lead to an increase in microhardness.
