Rare Species of Rotifera (Crustacea, Calanoida) in the Water Bodies of the Prisursky State Nature Reserve (Middle Volga Region, Russia)

Abstract
This paper summarizes long-term data on the fauna of Rotifera in the lower reaches of the Sura basin. The biology and occurrence of rotifers of the families Lecanidae, Brachionidae, Colurellidae, Mytilinidae, Proalidae, Euchlanidae, Filiniidae, and Notommatidae, which are rare and new to the Middle Volga Region and Russia and were found on the territory of Prisursky State Nature Reserve and its buffer zone, are described. Most of the species are rare throughout their range. There are species that are more common or usually occur in the southern or northern latitudes. Probably, Cephalodella apocolea has been recorded in Russia for the first time.
