Abstract <p>The study of algological material from tundra lakes located in the vicinity of the Lena Delta Wildlife Reserve (Yakutia) using scanning electron microscopy revealed a new species of diatoms for science <i>Achnanthidium pseudopusillum</i> sp. nov. The new species has morphological similarities with other species of the genus <i>A. pusillum</i>, but different from him, smaller valve width, large values of the number of striae in 10&#xa0;microns, a smaller number of areolae in the striae in the middle part of the valve.</p>
