A Partitioned Global Address Space Parallel Code for Numerical Modeling in Special Relativistic Hydrodynamics
摘要
In this paper, a new relativistic hydrodynamic code based on the Partitioned Global Address Space model of parallel computations is proposed. To implement this model, a combination of the parallel programming technologies Coarray Fortran for interprocess communications and OpenMP for multithreaded execution is used. The joint use of these technologies allows obtaining a code which can be easily implemented in software and has very high performance. For efficient use of such technologies, an original numerical method for solving the equations of special relativistic hydrodynamics has been developed. A detailed description of the construction, verification, and parallel implementation of the numerical method is given. A study of the performance and efficiency of the code has shown that it is comparable with the MPI applications, while its software implementation is much easier. This parallel code is used to simulate the interaction of a relativistic wind with clouds in the interstellar medium.
