Abstract <p>In this paper, the correctness of the formulation of the initial-boundary value problem for a parabolic equation with two lines of power degeneration is investigated. Depending on the values of the exponents of the degrees of degeneration, two initial-boundary value problems are posed, and theorems of uniqueness and existence are proved. The solutions to the posed problems are constructed in explicit form.</p>
