Numerical Study of Acoustic Vibrations of a Gas in an Oscillating Resonator
摘要
Abstract
The problem of gas oscillations in a closed resonator at resonant frequency is numerically investigated. Two types of oscillation excitation are considered: first, an oscillating bottom wall and second, an oscillating resonator as a solid body. OpenFOAM software is used for simulations. The results of calculations of gas oscillations in the first resonator are compared with pressure curves obtained experimentally and numerically by other method. The plots of gas velocity and pressure for two types of resonators are compared. It is found that the amplitude of fluctuations in the velocity and pressure of the gas in a solid-body resonator is one and a half times greater than in a resonator with an oscillating bottom wall.
