A Self-Sufficient Algorithm of the Method of Auxiliary Surface Currents in 3D Problems of Electromagnetic Scattering by Closed Perfectly Conducting Bodies

The algorithm proposed in the paper includes approximation of an original closed body by a polyhedron, use of combined auxiliary electric and magnetic surface currents uniformly distributed on each face, and fulfillment of boundary conditions for tangential components of electric field strength in the points of collocation in the centroid of each face, reducing the problem to a system of linear algebraic equations. The auxiliary currents found as a result of solution of the system are used for calculation of RCS of the body, as well as for calculation of real (not auxiliary) electric currents on the faces. The distributions of the real currents are substituted in the boundary conditions for electric and magnetic fields on the surface of the body for calculation of the residuals characterizing the accuracy of solution of the problem and providing self-sufficiency of the algorithm.
