Improving Performance of SLAV Model for Medium Range Weather Prediction

The paper considers a version of SLAV atmosphere model formedium-range weather prediction. The main focus of the paper ison a new software for handling input-output operations with thefile system, that has been implemented into SLAV model. The use ofthis software has reduced the elapsed time for ten-day weatherforecast by about 15 \(\%\) . This result is obtained for twotechnologies: the deterministic weather forecast with high spatialresolution, and the ensemble technology with a twice coarserhorizontal and vertical resolution.
