Abstract <p>Development of a new generation of neutron sources and the short supply of <sup>3</sup>He enhance development of slow neutron detectors based on solid-state convertors. The results of measurements of a position-sensitive slow neutron detector based on a resistive plate chamber (RPC) and the <sup>252</sup>Cf laboratory source are presented in this paper. The detector is a hybrid resistive plate chamber with a 249 μm gas gap and a <sup>10</sup>B‑enriched boron carbide converter film positioned in it.</p>
