1D Slow Neutron Monitor Based on RPC with 10B4C

Abstract
Development of a new generation of neutron sources and the short supply of 3He enhance development of slow neutron detectors based on solid-state convertors. The results of measurements of a position-sensitive slow neutron detector based on a resistive plate chamber (RPC) and the 252Cf laboratory source are presented in this paper. The detector is a hybrid resistive plate chamber with a 249 μm gas gap and a 10B‑enriched boron carbide converter film positioned in it.
