Calculation and Testing of Thermal Modes of the Collet Input of the NUCLOTRON Magnetic Kicker
摘要
Abstract—
Transmission of pulse power to the magnetic kicker of the Nuclotron of the NICA accelerator complex is examined. In the operating mode, the kicker units, including the collet inputs, are low temperature of about −190°C. It is required to select a conductor material with high electrical conductivity to minimize ohmic losses in passing large currents and low thermal conductivity to limit the rate of heat flow from the external environment to the kicker units. The corresponding calculations and studies, including experimental data, are presented.
