Classification of Rare-Metal Alkali Granites

Abstract
A new classification with three types is suggested for rare-metal alkali granites, which significantly differ in chemical and mineral composition and their rare-metal–rare-earth element features. An average composition of rocks from reference plutons of each type of rare-metal alkali granites is provided, the types are briefly characterized, and their most important indicator signatures are emphasized.
