Abstract <p>The article reveals and tests a methodological approach to the structural reorganization of the regional economy in the context of the development of national value chains (NVC) on the materials of the Vologda oblast. Classical procedures and methods for analyzing the structure of the regional economy are supplemented by tools for diagnosing and projecting the region’s position in the NVC, substantiating promising industries and niches of the economy, and assessing related effects.</p>
