Abstract

The results of palladium-catalyzed difunctionalization of norbornene via one-pot three-component coupling with aryl halides and arylacetylenes with the formation of new Csp3–Csp2/Csp3–Csp bonds are reported. The proposed method is advantageous in comparison to other methods due to the use of a simple ligand-free catalytic system based on palladium salts and inorganic base for the preparation of valuable bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane derivatives.
