Abstract <p>The chromenopyrimidine scaffold is an important building block for many medicinally active new chemicals. In the current work, a series of 2<i>H</i>-chromene 1,3-dimethylpyrimidine-2,4-dione derivatives have been synthesized by a one-pot three-component reaction between 4-hydroxy-2<i>H</i>-chromen-2-one, substituted benzaldehydes, and 6-amino-1,3-dimethylpyrimidine-2,4(1<i>H</i>,3<i>H</i>)-dione <b>3</b> at 65–70°C for 30–40 min using [BMIM]BF<sub>4</sub> as green reaction medium.</p>
