Abstract <p>A novel series of 3,3-dimethyltriazene-bearing chalcone epoxides and 2-thioxo-tetrahydropyrimidine-5(2<i>H</i>)-one derivatives have been designed and synthesized. The synthesized compounds were characterized by IR and <sup>1</sup>H and <sup>13</sup>C NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis and screened in vitro against MCF-7 breast cancer cell lines by the MTS assay with Tamoxifen as a reference drug. Out of the fourteen tested compounds, ten demonstrated a significant anticancer potential against MCF-7 carcinoma cells.</p>
