Abstract

The three-component reaction of cyclohexyl isocyanide, dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate, and (Z)-3-phenyl-2-(alkylsulfanyl)- or (Z)-3-furyl-2-methoxyprop-2-enals gives polysubstituted furans in good yields.
