摘要

Abstract

N-Benzenesulfonyl amino acid esters have drawn much attention due to their pharmacological and biological activity. Herein, a facile and effective one-pot approach to N-benzenesulfonyl amino acid esters has been developed, and 16 compounds have been obtained in excellent yields (90–95%) in a short time (9–14 min) using 4-bromobenzenethiol and amino acid esters as starting materials. Significantly, methyl 2-(4-bromobenzenesulfonamido)acetate (3a) could enhance the proline content of soybean in response to excess cadmium in a way similar to the plant hormone abscisic acid.
