Synthesis and Phosphonylation of 2-Hydrazinyl-5,6-disubstituted Pyrimidin-4(3H)-ones

Abstract
A series of 2-hydrazinylpyrimidin-4-ones was obtained by the reaction of hydrazine hydrate with S-methyl-2-thiouracil derivatives. The resulting compounds were reacted with chloroethynylphosphonates resulting in new phosphonylated dihydroformazans containing pyrimidin-2-yl-4-one fragments.
