Abstract <p>The conversion of unsymmetrical di- and trisubstituted triazines to the corresponding pyridines was first carried out using gaseous acetylene under a pressure of 40 atm in an autoclave with an overhead stirrer. The reaction proceeded at a temperature of 160°C for 2 h with 100% conversion and 100% selectivity, with the yield of the corresponding pyridines being 78–85%.</p>
