Copper(II) Complexes with 1-[Anilino(2-methoxyanilino)]-3-acetoxy(methoxy)propane-2-thiol and Their Application
摘要
The reactions of copper(II) with 2-mercapto-3-(phenylamino)propyl acetate (AAPT) and 1-methoxy-3-[(2-methoxyphenyl)amino]propane-2-thiol (MMPT) was studied by the extraction-photometric method. The ligands were characterized with IR and NMR spectroscopy. The influence of aqueous phase pH on the formation of CuL2 complexes and thermal decomposition were studied. Chloroform was chosen as the best extractant. A single extraction with chloroform extracted 98.6–99.3% of Cu(II). The yield of CuL2 was maximum at cL = 0.008 M and did not decompose for 24 hours or more than 45 days after extraction. Maximum light absorption is achieved within 10 minutes. Phase volume ratios of 5:5–115:5 did not affect the recovery. The optimum acidity is in the range of pHopt = 0.3–6.7 (pHform = 2.1–4.7). The molar absorption coefficients are ε480–490 = (4.21–4.26) × 104. Compliance with the fundamental law of light absorption is achieved at cCu(II) = 0.16–18 μg/mL. The ratio of components in the complex is 1:2. The developed extraction-photometric method was applied to determine copper in pharmaceutical and plant samples.
