Hydrothermal Synthesis and Characterization of Bifunctional Zeolite Catalysts for Methane Conversion to Gasoline
摘要
This study aimed to modify H-ZSM-5 and nano H-ZSM-5 zeolites by incorporating gallium (Ga) and molybdenum (Mo) into their tetrahedral frameworks to enhance their catalytic properties for industrial applications. ZSM-5 zeolite, known for its high thermal stability and acidity, was post-synthetically impregnated with 2 wt % Ga and Mo using a repeated ion-exchange process at 353 K, followed by thorough washing and drying. Characterization techniques, including XRD and SEM, confirmed successful metal incorporation, indicating structural changes in the zeolite framework. Catalytic testing showed that the modified zeolites exhibited improved activity and selectivity compared to the unmodified versions, demonstrating the potential of metal impregnation for tailoring zeolite catalysts. The study concludes that Ga and Mo incorporation enhances catalytic performance, suggesting scalability and potential for broader industrial applications, with future work focusing on exploring other metals and long-term stability for extended catalytic use.
