Nitrogen Containing Heterocyclic Chalcone Hybrids and Their Biological Potential (A Review)
摘要
The main building blocks for the production of flavonoids and iso-flavonoids are chalcones. Chalcones are α, β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds containing three carbons. The condensation products of aromatic aldehydes with acetophenones in the presence of a catalyst are called chalcones. Numerous techniques and plans have been documented for the synthesis of these substances. Aldol condensation and Claisen–Schmidt condensation continue to hold a prominent position among all. Chalcones and their derivatives have a broad range of pharmacological activities due to presence of reactive α,β-unsaturated carbonyl group. Numerous chalcone-heterocycle hybrids seem to show promise as potential medication candidates based on a review of the literature because of their comparable or better activity than the standards. As a result, the creation and development of novel, highly effective therapeutic medications based on previously established techniques may benefit from this review.
