Slow Magnetization Relaxation in a Bidentate Chelate Ligand–Tb(III)–Fe(II) Trinuclear Compound
摘要
Abstract
A trinuclear [Fe2Tb] (for Fe(II) and Tb(III)) cluster, with the formula of [Tb(HFac)3(Fe-NO-Butan)] (HFac = hexafluoroacetylacetonate; Fe-NO-Butan = bi(ferrocenylmethyl)-2,3-bi(N-oxide)-2,3-dimethylbutan) based on a nitrogen oxidation bidentate chelate ligand, has been successfully constructed and structurally characterized, which is composed of two diamagnetic ferrocenyl segments and a paramagnetic [Tb(HFac)3] unit. Magnetic investigation reveals that [Fe2Tb] compound exhibits field-induced slow magnetic relaxation behavior with effective barrier Δeff/kB ≈ 12.80 K, deriving from isolated anisotropic Tb3+ ion.
