摘要

Abstract

A comprehensive study of socio-economic factors affecting the situation of children and families with children in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation is a social requirement and an important scientific and practical task to support effective management decisions. For these purposes, it is customary to use integrated (combined) indices that aggregate relevant indicators and characterize the state of the constituent entities. Assessing the state of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation is a multifaceted characteristic, and various indexation methods reflect its different features. The article considers four categories of indicators characterizing the well-being of children and families with children: health, education, standard of living, and offenses. A total of 25 indicators are included. To assess the child well-being index a combined method is used, including the joint use of linear and threshold aggregation models . The results of the experiments, presented in tables and digital cartograms, showed that subjects of the Russian Federation differ significantly by the child well-being index in individual categories, and for several regions, the estimates obtained using the linear and threshold models differ significantly.
