Numerical Simulation of Anti-Icing Devices for the Water Area of Northern Harbors
摘要
Abstract
We present numerical analysis of an anti-icing device designed for water areas of Northern harbors in the Arctic zone. The operation principle of this device is based on thermal destrution of the ice coating using the heat of depth water. We consider a propeller device producing a directed kinetic flow in the form of a jet. The basin surface is cleaned from ice due to the involvement of lower warmer layers into the flow and their contact with ice. It is shown with the help of numerical modeling that the application of this device ensures the ice-free surface for safe work of sea harbors located in Northern latitudes.
