Abstract <p>This article presents a comprehensive study of the structural, mechanical, and thermal properties of the ternary lightweight alloy AlMgZn, which is of great importance in industrial applications due to its light weight and high mechanical performance. The microstructure was characterized by dendritic observations, and the presence of precipitates was confirmed through X-ray diffraction. Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) results showed significant phase transitions, while microhardness was measured at 115.1 Hv. These findings are correlated with theoretical studies on the Mg<sub>32</sub>(Al,Zn)<sub>49</sub> phase, highlighting its importance in the mechanical behaviour of aluminum alloys.</p>
