Simple Co-precipitation Synthesis, Effective Photocatalytic Degradation of Rhodamine-B Dye and Supercapacitor Applications of Sr2V2O7 Nanoparticles
摘要
In this present study, Sr2V2O7 nanoparticles (NPs) was prepared by a simple co-precipitation technique. The morphology, crystal structure, size and phase purity of the Sr2V2O7 NPs was analyzed by different techniques including SEM, HR-TEM, SAED pattern, FTIR, XRD, and EDX analysis. The SEM and XRD analysis revealed the presence of homogenously distributed spherical-shaped spheres like nanoparticles with average size of 5.14 nm. The photocatalytic dye degradation (PCD) study of Sr2V2O7 NPs was found to be an effective catalyst for the photo-degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) dye at visible light irradiation and achieved the efficiency 98.85% within 100 min. Also, Sr2V2O7 NPs was analyzed their electrochemical properties and revealed a specific capacitance (Cs) 640 F/g at 1 A/g with 64% retention even after 7000 cycles. Due to its high electrochemical performance, the synthesized Sr2V2O7 NPs can be used as electrode materials for developing supercapacitors.
