Investigation of Characteristics of the Setup Containing a Pair Spectrometer for Studying Nuclear Reactions with Light Nuclei Using a Fast Neutron Source
摘要
Abstract
In this paper, we study the characteristics of a setup that contains a position-sensitive neutron detector with the 10B nucleus under study, a proportional chamber with dimensions 50 × 50 mm2 and an internal conversion electron-positron pair spectrometer based on silicon and NaI scintillation detectors. This setup will be used for studying reactions with light nuclei on fast neutron sources with energies above 1 MeV based on linear electron and proton accelerators at INR RAS. The possibility of selecting various reactions with the emission of a light nucleus, in particular 3H and 4He, has been demonstrated.
