摘要

Abstract

A previous series of studies was aimed at selecting the optimal materials for a highly granular prototype of the Beam-Beam Counter subsystem, which is part of the SPD detector at the NICA collider [1– 3]. This formed the basis for designing and testing an eight-channel sector prototype. Developing verification tools for this prototype is a priority task. This paper presents a method for verifying the main part of the signal path using side-glow fiber (SGF) illumination. First results have been obtained, and prospects for applying this method within the BBC subsystem are discussed.
