Reconstruction of Spatial Resolution of Multilayer Position-Sensitive Detectors
摘要
Abstract—
Methods for reconstructing the spatial resolution of detectors consisting of several detecting layers are considered. It is assumed that each of the detecting layers independently measures the coordinate of the intersection of a particle track with a given layer. The methods under consideration are based on a comparison of coordinate measurements in different detecting layers. The resolution of each layer is considered unknown and, in general, not equal to the resolutions of other layers. The problem of the minimum number of layers, allowing one to reconstruct the individual resolution of each layer, and methods for obtaining average resolutions with a smaller number of layers are considered.
