Abstract

The formation of composite solitons in the early Universe is considered. It is shown that under realistic initial conditions arising at the inflationary stage, the evolution of the field leads to the formation of a “soliton foam” consisting of closed domain walls, domain walls bounded by strings and scalar field radiation. As a result of the soliton foam evolution, a large number of scalar field particles are emitted, that can be interpreted as WIMPs constituting a fraction of dark matter of the Universe.
