Abstract

A new wide-gap resistive plate chamber (RPC) detector has been developed to upgrade cosmic ray test setup in the production area of Time-of-Flight system (TOF) for the Multipurpose detector (MPD) at NICA collider. The design of the wide-gap RPC and main performance parameters are presented.
