Neutron Spectra Unfolding from Bonner Spectrometer Readings by the Regularization Method Using the Legendre Polynomials

Abstract
The paper proposes a method for unfolding the energy spectrum of neutrons in a wide energy range based on the results of measurements with the Bonner multi-sphere spectrometer. The method is based on decomposing the spectrum into shifted Legendre polynomials using the Tikhonov regularization. As an example, the problem of reconstructing neutron energy spectra for two locations at the JINR phasotron is analyzed.
