Measuring the Fractions of Quark and Gluon Jets in Hardon–Hadron Collisions

Abstract
In this paper, a method of measuring the fractions of quark and gluon jets originating from partons with a given flavor involved in a hard process partons (primary parton jets) is proposed. The sum of these fractions differs from unity by the fraction of jets containing the partons produced in the process of the parton shower (secondary parton jets).
