摘要

Abstract

This paper develops a method for searching for gamma rays from unknown sources against a complex astrophysical background based on data from the HiSCORE array in the TAIGA experiment. This task is divided into three stages: the development of criteria for distinguishing gamma rays from the main background particles; the selection of an assessment method and background smoothing; analysis of the statistical significance of a signal against the complex background. The first results of using this method are presented, and the reliability of detected gamma-ray sources with energies above 70 TeV is analyzed.
