Abstract

The Baryonic Matter at Nuclotron (BM@N) is the first experiment at the NICA accelerator complex designed to study the interactions of relativistic heavy ions in a range of high baryon densities. In this work, we present first results on the directed flow \(v_{1}\) of deuterons in 10–30 \(\%\) central Xe \(+\) Cs(I) collisions at kinetic energy \(E_{\textrm{kin}}=3.8A\) GeV, collected by the BM@N experiment during the first physics run in 2023. The results are compared with the existing world data on the deuteron \(v_{1}\) in the energy range of several GeV.
