Modeling of Primary Positron Production by PSR J0437-4715 and Other Nearby Bow Shock Pulsars
摘要
Abstract
The primary positrons of cosmic rays (CRs) detected by PAMELA and AMS-02 may be produced by both nearby pulsars and the annihilation/decay of dark matter, making studies of their origin a fundamental issue. We discuss the kinetic modeling of particle acceleration by pulsars with bow shocks and the propagation of those particles to the Earth. We consider the nearest PSR J0437-4715 that may produce the measured positron flux from tens of GeV to 1 TeV and PSR J1741-2054.
