Studies of Single-Photoelectron Response of 20-INCH NNVT MCP-PMT
摘要
Abstract
The use of large-area PMTs (photomultipliers) is reasonable for large-volume liquid-scintillation neutrino detectors or large-area gamma-ray telescopes. Currently, the NNVT MCP-PMTs (micro-channel plate) used in the JUNO and LHAASO experiments are very popular. Despite some advantages over its only competitor on the market, the Hamamatsu R12860 dynode-PMTs, the NNVT MCP-PMTs have problems with determining the single-photoelectron response, which directly affects the ability to determine the energy of the particles registered by the detector. In this work, the single-photoelectron response of the NNVT MCP-PMT is investigated.
