The Response of a Vortex System in a Layered HTS Composite with Radiation Defects to a Short Current Pulse
摘要
Abstract
By means of the Monte Carlo method, the respose of a layered high-temperature superconductor to a microsecond current pulse has been caclculated. In this paper, the superconductor contains irradiation pinning centres. Two different pulse shapes have been analyzed: a rectangular and a triangular pulse. It has been shown that the shape of the response approximately coincides with the shape of the initial pulse. The “echo” effect which occurs in an external magnetic field after switching off the external current has been investigated. It has been shown that the effect is present for both rectangular and triangular pulses, the severity of the effect decreases as the efficiency of pinning centers in the sample increases.
