Abstract <p>In disk accretion of gas onto a neutron star, high densities and temperatures are expected. The objective of the quantitative accretion model is to obtain boundary layer gas parameters during the development of small-scale instability. For critical accretion of incident matter on a neutron star, we have discussed the possibility of nucleosynthesis.</p>
