Renormalization of the Plasmon Frequency in a Screened Graphene Square
摘要
Abstract
In this paper, the excitation of plasmons by an incident plane monochromatic wave in a screened graphene square is theoretically investigated. A method for calculating plasmon resonances based on the integral equation approach is developed. The dispersion of dipole plasmon resonances is studied as a function of the barrier dielectric thickness. The tuning of the phase shift of plasmon reflected from the boundaries of the screened graphene is predicted. An effective plasmon mode confinement coefficient is introduced for square graphene, which allows to describe the plasmon resonance frequencies using a simple quasi-electrostatic model.
