Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things applications require high-performance computing systems. Modern digital neuromorphic coprocessors, which are manufactured using CMOS technology, are inefficient in executing neural network algorithms due to the limitations of the von Neumann architecture. Integrated circuits based on non-volatile ferroelectric transistors are a promising direction for research in this area. This paper reviews studies of ferroelectric materials, characteristics of ferroelectric transistors and the methods used to study them.
