On the Distributions of Record Ranges in Nonstandard Situations

Abstract
Distributions and properties of record ranges constructed using initial sequences of random variables that possess the Laplace distribution or a mixture of geometric distributions on the positive and negative semiaxes are studied. These distributions are characterized respectively. Nine references are given.
