Abstract <p>A synthesis method was presented and properties were analyzed for colloidal quantum dots doped with Nd<sup>3+</sup> ions with 20% substitution of lead ions, which were synthesized by hot injection. Structural analysis confirmed a polycrystalline structure of nanoparticles with grain sizes from ~5 to 25 nm. The quantum yield of photoluminescence was 56%, which is a high value, and the emission spectrum with a maximum at 458 nm is due to the influence of Nd<sup>3+</sup> on the band gap.</p>
